Looking for an Operations Manager?

Here's why you should hire me.

So, you know what they say, right? If you can't find the perfect job, you should create your own. Well, here I am, taking advice from the nameless, faceless "they".

In 2016, I walked away from the traditional 9-to-5 world. It was scary, but ultimately, I knew I was doing the right thing.

Since then, I've dabbled in the world of virtual assistance, copywriting, and transcription. It was exactly what I needed during my time of transition from the corporate to the freelance world.

Fast forward to today, and I find myself wanting a bit more continuity and investment in my endeavors. I would love to be involved in a bigger way with a small business and draw upon my background in social media, copywriting, editing, human resources, administrative, and community support work. Think of me as an assistant, but with more responsibility, complex projects, and an eye for strategy execution + the big picture. This will free up your time, and allows you to focus on growing your business and making money, and you can rest assured that all the other things that need to get done are taken care of.

As an operations manager, here's how I can help you:

  • Content creation + repurposing: writing and editing newsletters, articles, blog posts, social media posts, product descriptions, and transcription (podcasts, videos, webinars, etc).
  • Human resources: recruitment, job descriptions, performance evaluations, forms, etc.
  • Social media: curation, batch scheduling, and community engagement.
  • Outreach: networking, building + maintaining relationships, PR pitches, vendor/client liaison
  • Administration: calendar + inbox management, scheduling events + meetups, file maintenance, systems/processes, research, and more.

If this sounds like something you need help with in your business, let's chat! Drop me a line at: miasuttonblog@gmail.com. I'd prefer a virtual role, but if you're in Virginia, I'd definitely consider an in-person position as well.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Testimonials

I cannot recommend Mia enough. From the time that she has worked with me on Holl & Lane, she has gone from a social media role into an overall operations role and easily handles anything that comes her way. She has helped the magazine become what it is today. From working with contributors, writing newsletters, facilitating discussions on social media, and a huge number of backend tasks, Mia seamlessly moves from one to another with little to no guidance. In addition, she has helped to streamline our processes to make our operations as a whole run smoother. I would be happy if I could clone and have one hundred Mia’s.

Mia brings clarity, attention to detail, and insight to her work. In the months after I launched my podcast, she became a trusted listener to new episodes, articulately drafting show notes, and being a thought partner in making decisions about what to keep in and what to edit out. She's committed, consistent, and reliable and makes it so easy to work with her! I would highly recommend her for any administrative project.
